International breaks in September and October are grouped in a way that creates two consecutive weekends without league play. The winter pause begins after 20 December, with a return on 8 January.

De Klassieker and major Dutch fixtures
De Klassieker is Ajax versus Feyenoord. Meetings among Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord also structure part of the programme, while AZ, FC Twente, Utrecht and the other participants bring their own context. These names identify fixtures; they do not turn history into a recommendation.
The 2026/27 list includes SC Cambuur, Willem II, Telstar and ADO Den Haag. Their presence is a reminder that seasonal updates matter: clubs named in older copy do not necessarily belong to the current division.
