How the Thimbles game works in the DRC
Thimbles begins with a ball under one cup. The cups move, stop and wait for a final selection. After the player confirms a CDF stake and chooses a cup, the game reveals the recorded position. The animation may look like a test of eyesight, but following a cup on screen does not guarantee that the chosen position will contain the ball.
Wait until the shuffle finishes
Do not choose while the cups are still moving or while the page is loading. Once they stop, select one visible position and wait for the reveal. Repeated taps can make it unclear which choice was recorded, especially on a narrow mobile screen.
Earlier positions do not carry forward
A ball found under the left cup in one round does not make that position safer or less likely in the next. Use the history to check the settled cup and CDF amount. Set a fixed number of rounds or a short session budget rather than increasing the stake after a wrong choice.
Frequently asked questions
When should I choose a cup?
Wait until every cup has stopped and the selection controls are active.
Is Thimbles a skill game?
The cup selection is a player choice, but the animation does not provide a guaranteed tracking method.
Does the previous ball position help?
No. A completed shuffle does not identify the ball in a new round.
What if the reveal is delayed?
Wait and check the account record before starting another round.
